These ingredients must be properly mixed to come up with the correct lemonade concoction:
o 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed organic lemon juice
o 2 tablespoons of grade B organic maple syrup
o A 10th of a teaspoon of powdered organic cayenne pepper
o Distilled water in 10 oz glasses
You would need to drink at least 6-10 servings a day. There are no specific guidelines when you should drink the lemonade, but as a rule of thumb, drink it when you are hungry.
• Lemon Juice
Approximately ½ of a lemon will be needed to create 2 tablespoons of the juice. If making a whole day’s supply is preferred, bear in mind lemon juice will spoil in 8 hours, regardless of placing the lemon juice in the fridge.
Never use canned lemon juice, as canned lemon juice no longer contains the needed vitamins and nutrients. Our body needs all the nutrients that is only available from fresh lemon juice because only the lemonade will be consumed for the entire 10 days of the Master Cleanse.
Do remember to use organic lemons because non-organic lemons contain toxins like pesticides, otherwise it will defeat the purpose of doing the master cleanse.
• Grade B Organic Maple Syrup
Only use the Grade B Organic Maple Syrup. Other types of maple syrup are not appropriate for The Lemon Diet. Grade B Organic Maple Syrup should not be mistaken for commercial maple syrup used on pancakes, the two are different maple syrup.
Grade B are also more superior in terms of nutritional value. Many websites are saying that as long as you are using the organic maple syrup, then it should be fine. But the truth is if you really can’t find the grade B Organic Maple Syrup, then you have no choice but to use the organic maple syrup.
• Powdered Cayenne Pepper
The powerful healing properties of Cayenne Pepper should never be taken for granted. Regarded as one of the world’s best healing herbs, Cayenne Pepper increases the body’s blood flow. its not a damn diet its a cleansing method that is used all the time and yes you do loose alot of wait in a short time. but be careful it can be very dangerous if you dont know what your doing.. research alot!! It also can be a yo yo effect if you dont eat right from some time after you loose your weight. I would like to begin this diet tomorrow and wanted to know how soon after you do the salt cleanse does it begin to work. I was wondering if I take it before bed, would it work in the morning or have me up all night? Has anyone every done the lemonade diet with one meal a day in the evening. It is like fasting until the evening and only eating one meal a day. Do you think this will work and help with weight loss and has any tried it and still lost weight. I would think it would work because you are not taking in the normal amount of calories you would if eating normally. Thank you
oh yeah be perpared to have the squirts after the salt water souliton.. you should drink it at like 7pm after you finish everything because you will hit the toilet ALOT!

Having starting this cleanse I highly recommend that you follow the directions in the “master cleanse” over these directions. Also it tastes MUCH more tolerable!

does a specific type of salt have to be used and can you do both the salt cleanse and the tea at night?
I began the Master Cleanse this morning.My stomach feels bloated and tight! The taste was not as bad as I thought it would have been. I have Cary’s, Sugar free maple syrup. I found nothing with grade b on it. Will that be ok? Also can someone please give me an idea as to what I am supposed to be feeling right now?
If you heat the whole lemon up (microwaving it), letting it cool for a few seconds, and then cutting it open, you will get much more juice from it.
@lily: It’s a bad idea because microwaving is bad for our health.
@Lily, Don’t heat it up because it will kill the enzymes and vitamins within the lemon. The book stresses do not use the microwave. The key to this is getting the knowledege, by the book and do your research. Don’t do this cleanse with out getting mentally prepaired. You need to read how this cleanse work before you do it or you are likely to fail.

Well i’m going to start my 10 day cleanse today my only concern is the cramping I have read some the comments and alot of people is saying they are cramping so what is good for the cramping? reason for asking is I have been having cramps prior and I was taking about 80z of tonic water for the cramps and it seems to help, so if I start to cramp is it ok to continue taking about 8 0z of the tonic water every other day or so?

I loved this cleasne you have to stick it out. I did it a year ago and have maintain my weight loss. I was 225lbs and now I’m 175. I’m about to do it again for my yearly cleanse. This saved my life!! Diabetes runs in my family n this helped prevent it. After 3 days you will be okay, but 1st 3days is hard! You must mentaly prepare yourself first before you do it and when you do it, exercise. You’ll have tons of energy and when you workout you are burning calories. DO IT!!

does the water have to be hot after being distilled? or can you leave it to cool and then mix it?

I am considering the Master Cleanse Diet, however, I am diabetic and wonder how the sugar in the Maple Syrup will affect my diabetes. There is a lot of sugar in the Maple Syrup. Has anyone with diabetes done this fast? Please respond ASAP.
@Barbara Garret you can do this detox in pill form. While it still has sugar in it. It is not nearly as much as making the drink yourself with the syrup. I really don’t care for the taste of this and the pills work just as good. Just make sure you find the pills that are all natural.
how long dose the salt water flush last in a day?

I am on day 10 of my cleanse and I feel wonderful. I have lost a total of 15 pounds over the last ten days. I plan on doing this cleanse for 14 days. The only problem I have had with the cleanse is the sea salt water in the mornings. It actually made me sick, so I have been doing the herbal laxative tea in the morning and at night. That’s probably why I haven’t lost more weight, but the book does say that you can do it this way also. I exercise sometimes, but not as much as I should. I normally walk about 1.5 miles at least 3 times per week. I can say that my blood pressure is lower than it has been in years and I attribute it to the cleanse. I plan on doing the cleanse at least once every 3 months. I think that the one thing that I have done wrong is not drank at least 6 of the lemonades a day (but that has only been the last couple of days). But I have seen more weight loss in these last couple of days. This is a wonderful cleanse to do, but you really, really, really, really have to be mentally prepared.
I started the Master Cleanse yesterday. I had a bowel movement after the first sea salt dose yesterday morning and nothing has come out since. I’m feeling great this morning but worried that I am not purging anything.

Damn it Raylen! I have written several times on this site for your help, as it said to do in your book, and it has been 3 days with no answer. I bought your book and spent a lot of money on supplys for this cleanse. Please someone tell me what to do. I am on day 4 and I am barely purging anything. @Barbara don’t listen to Carrie, after all this is internet people can post whatever they want to this includes “lies” if you have diabetes consult with your doctor first prior to starting this diet.
I know several people who use this system. I am starting tomorrow on a 14 day cleanse. Everyone I know who has done it said that their taste in food choices has changed. They claim it encourages you to eat leaner, healthier foods. I will post my progress next Saturday.
